Run over

The people of India and its politicians are the most irresponsible lot as commuters and Railway users. The people cross railway track whenever and wherever they please and frequently get run over. The politician instead of educating people not to tress pass on the Railway track leads agitations and damaging assaults on government property causing loot and arson to show people that he cares for them.
It is because of this that no train In India runs at an average of more than 70 to 80 KM per hour. Probably people do not know that in the steam engine era the faster mail trains used to do 90 to 100 km per hour on the average.
The politicians are not required to travel by trains so they don’t care how the trains run and people are totally careless in every respect to help Railways to improve the services.
