Do away with Audit

It was in the sixties when my dad was an accounts officer in Bhilai steel projet.a bill of Rs 3000/- was presented for passing to him and he asked for the supporting vouchers of expenditure. He was called byAGM and asked him what was his trouble in passing the bill? My father said he will never pass abill unless the supporting vouchers were available..I will get it passed by some other accounts officer sid the AGM with pleasure sir said My father and came back. It was the days of Nehru who used to hate Audit of funds. Today congress has taken up cudgel against C&AG for 2G scam .Congress can abolish audit or replace the current C&AG with amore malleable Person. My suggestion to congress and the so called Honest PM is abolish audit and all problems will be over. No one will ever question how the MP”s swallowed the money
