Gandhi organized a civil disobedience against the then Government by invoking people to defy law and order and go to jail as Satyagrahis. The same crowd which rules today appreciates Gandhi as a great liberator while condemning Anna Hazare for following the same path of Gandhi to eradicate corruption in the government as a whole. In today’s atmosphere even Gandhi would have been a total failure.
They want to annihilate Anna Hazare for his desire to eradicate corruption. Every day there is news of greater and greater stories of graft yet government would not investigate. The latest story is that of Shiv sena to get 500 crores for Jaitpur agitation. Actually there is no government in Maharashtra. It is all Shiv sena and MNS only.
In any case one question remains for Anna. In the present scenario there is not one honest person to be found anywhere to the fearless and impartial Lokpal. Anna can go on dreaming of a non existent Ram Rajya in a totally corrupt Kali rajaya.
